Thanks to a client who needed a Kontomble Voice Divination but is not local to me, I tried a remote Kontomble Voice Divination and it went perfectly. Somehow I thought it would be complicated and difficult to do this style of divination over the internet, but it was fine over zoom. I am delighted to say that I am now making Kontomble Voice Divinations available to clients who live far away or simply do no want to drive to Sebastopol.
Kontomble are the elemental beings of the water. They are cosmic, highly sensitive, very tuned in with the stars and the oneness of everything.
When one carries out voice divination, she is offering her voice to these beings, she is translating what they have to say. It is done in darkness, behind a curtain. You sit on one side, either physically or on a screen, the voice diviner on the other.
The initiation in the Dagara tradition involves “merging consciousness” with or “marrying” an elemental being. This is how one becomes a diviner. Without this “marriage” or merge, one cannot deliver divination. In the Dagara belief system, the elemental beings are facilitating the communication between the diviner and the unseen forces, realms and beings.
When one carries out stick divination they are merged with an elemental being of the wild and the land—the wedeme. When one carries out voice divination they are merged with an elemental being of the water, the kontomble.
When one comes to Kontomble Voice Divination they are speaking directly to the elemental beings of the water.
Since Kontomble exist at a high vibration, Kontomble Voice Divinations can go for only 50 minutes. You can come by yourself and have the whole time to converse with Kontomble or you can share the time with two or three other people. You can come to ask personal questions, you can come to ask general questions. You can come with a group of more than three and ask a group question but whatever you do, come with questions. Since Kontomble Voice divinations are conversations, the questions are what drive the divination.
I have a hut in my backyard in Sebastopol, CA, where these divinations will be held. When you come, remotely or physically, bring a quarter (a quarter dollar coin) for the kontomble.
